ding dong the witch is dead!

Osama bin Laden is dead.
I just hope that:
A) this is for real.
B) attacks aren't targeted on the US as retalliation.
C) the country starts coming together as a whole again.

sister, sister, i never knew how much id miss ya

I am blessed to have a 15 year old little sister who lives in OH. Its been tough not being there for her in such a time of transition but today I realized how strong of a young woman she has become.

She's going through stuff with friends, boys, school, family and self but she's doing it all with grace and I'm so proud of her. Not only does she have a good head on her shoulders but she is also thinking about others while keeping herself on track.

Booga, if you're reading this, please know that you continue to amaze me and I'm excited to be able to witness your transformation, even if it is from 2500 miles away.

life's tough.

You know what? Life's tough.

Not seeing your family is tough
Not seeing your friends is tough
Going to school is tough
Saying goodbye is tough
Saying hello is tough
Not saying anything is tough
Saying it all is tough
Giving things up is tough
Accepting things is tough

But we do it, because life is worth it.
Your friends make it worth it
Your struggles make it worth it
Your successes make it worth it
Your tears make it worth it
Your giggles make it worth it
Your attitude makes is worth it
Your family makes it worth it

The future is tough, but you make it worth it.

you know those people?

You know those people who instantly make you feel better?! I have a few of them. Tessa Marie is one of the few. I love that girl so much. She knows my past, loves me for my present, and supports me for my future. I say that I have lots of best friends but Tessie is definitely one of the top two. Although we don't see each other often, she is a rock in my life and I thank God for her.

I'm just really over today.

I'm looking forward to going to klamath falls today but this week has sucked and all I want is for the day to be over. I want to sleep for days. But I'm going to see my best friend Tessa today and we'll have a blast and a half.

The rain never ends here and its really ruining my mood. Whatever.

Simply fascinating.

I wish I could write down all of the things that intrigued me today. They're all things that I normally wouldn't look twice at, most people wouldn't. For some reason, my senses were a little bit clearer today.

At Costco, I noticed that the giant teddy bears all had smiles. This one is kind of a no brainer but it warmed my heart to think that the plush toy was not only giving happiness but also receiving it.

When I was at the library, I actually breathed in the musky smell of the older cloth-bound books. That may be gross for some people but I couldn't help bu think of the people who had given the books so much character. I even picked up a book about Tsar Nicholas. The feel, the look, the smell (no I didn't taste it) all made the book so much more appealing. Imagine the people who have picked the book up before I did. The curiousity or the neccessity of picking up that book may have altered their complete perception or conversely caused them to sleep for three hours only to wake up panic-striken and angry. Books simply fascinate me. It almost made me regret buying my barnes and noble nook. Books are going to become the next scrolls, scrolls will become the heiroglyphs, and heiroglyphs will become fossils. At least I am able to experience the inspiration of picking up Pride and Prejudice.

We take too much for granted. Time to appreiciate everything.
